Love Is In The Air

I am a hopeless romantic. I believe with all my heart in love at first sight, soul mates and happily ever after. I have been overflowing with feels the last 2 months. I have photographed SO many couples that were glowing with adoration for each other that I pretty much went home humming Disney Princess songs to myself the rest of the day after all these shoots <3 <3 <3

December 19th started off my wedding and engagement season. I got to spend the day with Charity and Cameron (pictured above). Aren't the gorgeous? We met back last spring and hit it off instantly through our mutual love of all things Starbucks and Disney lol I couldn't WAIT for the big day!

Charity was a vision. I couldn't stop snapping portraits of her as she sat and waited for the ceremony to start. There was so much love in the dressing room filled with her bridesmaids and flower girls. Her father joined them before the ceremony to lead the ladies in a short prayer and the room was filled with so much peace and happiness and warmth that I got goosebumps.

She walked down the aisle of Beck Chapel to a full house and a beaming groom. After her father gave he away, she and Cameron locked hands and gazed at each other so deeply that I could see the tears starting all over the church. The brief service was filled with prayer and promises and sealed with a kiss and the two strolled happily back down the aisle officially as Mr. and Mrs. Heisler.

I stole them away before the reception for photos around the grounds at Beck Chapel, then headed to the Square and walked with them down Kirkwood. We finished at the Fountain square Ballroom before the sun set and they made their entrance to the celebration! The ballroom was decked out in Christmas and winter deco: candle light, twinkling lights, trees, even stockings to hang the cards in. My favorite part was the coffee bar. Every guest walked in to a mug with their name on it, chosen specifically for them. The buffet was a breakfast bar, and you bet this gal grabbed some waffles! Delicious and adorable!

There were tears during the toasts of both the best man and the maid of honor. It's amazing to hear the story of two people falling in love from the eyes of their closest friends. The couple read their handwritten vows to one another, shared their first dance, and lovingly smashed the cake in one another's face ;) Then we snuck away again to snag some photos under the lights on the Square, my absolute FAVORITE part about Bloomington during the holidays!

I am honored to have spent the day with these two. They filled my heart with such joy and I will forever remember their special day.

In case you didn't know, it's totally engagement season. I'm looking right at all you guys dragging your feet out there. This is the time of year where the question gets popped for Christmas, New Year, and Valentine's Day. And also the time of year where I take a boat-load of kissing photos. I'm totally ok with that. lol I got a flood of calls and messages between Christmas and New Year with the news: "He asked me!" I may or may not have squealed with excitement with a few of those girls.

Now, I'm a sucker for sparkle, and photographing rings is one of my faaaaaaavorite things to do. I love me some diamonds. <3 Ladies, if he got on one knee recently, call me. I will make him do alllll the cutesy pinterest poses with you. And he WILL like it, darn it. lol

I had SO many engagement shoots the last couple of months! But I'm gonna start with Allison and Jesse. And I am gonna start with them because they were literally two of my first clients ever 2 years ago. See. Here's them two years ago:

I love these two. I love their kids. I love them together. When Allison contacted me to tell me Jesse had proposed, she was for sure one of the ones I squealed for (ok so maybe I squealed for all of them but she got 'EEEEEEEEEE!!!' in text).

We wanted snow for the shoot. But we were totally skeptical it was gonna happen because Indiana is redonk with weather and we had a 60 degree month of December. BUT, the snow came! And we wrangled up a meeting overnight and made magic happen. In fact, they are now the subjects of my all-time favorite couple shot.

Check out this moment. Did you sigh and say "omg that's so romantic"? I did.

I am thrilled for these two. And I am SO happy we made these photos happen. I can't wait for the wedding!
I know Keli and Dustin through a ton of mutual friends. And I love it when a couple shows up for a shoot and I don't have to TELL them to touch each other lol These two had no issues holding on to each other. Man they are cute. It was coooooold that day and Keli still looked adorable without bundling up. I'd hate her if I didn't like her so much. She is gorgeous, and Dustin is an absolute sweetheart! They belong together. Their love story is a good one, but I'm not gonna tell it ;) We walked the Square and stopped at the spot where he popped the question. And the results are yet another round of magic. I am SO amped to photograph their wedding this fall! <3
I just met Chelsey and Kris not long ago. But Kris went to high school with my husband and we ended up knowing alot of the same people from Worthington. When I first started talking to Chelsey I was really hoping to work with her because she has such a great personality. Doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous too. ;) We set up a date and, again, another couple that hoped for snow with me. The weather must love me and my clients, because lo and behold, it snowed 4 inches that morning! So we dared the 22 degree, cloudy shoot in ankle-deep snow with red noses and fingers and ears, and had a blast! She has handmade the CUTEST props!

Yet again, another fall wedding that I am now eagerly awaiting! It's going to be SO beautiful! This is another one of my all-time favorite engagement shoots. I am really starting to get attached to doing these. I love hearing the love stories, and the proposal stories, and watching the way the couples look at each other the whole shoot. I am such a mushy person. I eat this stuff up.

I love my job.

These photos featuring the love of Keli and Dustin for each other is amazing. Just like you, I consider myself as a very hopeless romantic person and everything about love amazes me. Nowadays, it's hard to find love that we deserve because there are thousands of cheaters; people who are easily tempted by a lot of things! True love is rare, that's why you need to treasure those people who make an effort to stay with you and love you. Keli and Dustin have found each other and they should never let go!
